The author of DAISI (Dance As I See It) launched this blog in July 2018 in order to actively and creatively engage with dance in a way that supplements a professional life as an administrative arts professional. Informed by experience with organizations including Jacob’s Pillow and The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and as a dance student, performer, instructor, choreographer, and director, the author aims to provide readers with uncommon insight into the dance world. The DAISI author trained in ballet in Chicago, earned a B.A. from Wesleyan University, and lives in New York City, where she is pursuing an M.A. in Dance Studies from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
